WEG 4kW THREE PHASE 380V SOLAR VSD DRIVE PANEL

Our VSD drives are enclosed in IP54 and IP65 all-weather enclosures and are available in different size and panel variations depending on the control and environment of the installation.

WEG three phase Solar VSD systems are driven by a three phase solar VSD Drive with an integrated MPPT (maximum power point tracker) to convert DC input to maximum power output. The solar VSD Drive is used to convert DC power generated from the PV Modules to three phase 380V AC power to drive a Three Phase AC pump ranging from 2.2kW to 400kW (submersible or surface pumps). The Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) function ensures improved and overall system efficiency with the facility to adjust motor speed and startup voltages when specific flow and or pressure is required.(VSD Systems of up to 1.2MW can be supplied on special order)

The Hybrid VSD designed offers full Hybrid Functionality with priority solar input and SEAMLESS blending technology, when other input sources are available such as grid or generator. (single phase 230V Options are also available)

The current standard in the industry is changing form Solar to Grid by means of a manual change over switch installed. Our Hybrid Solution provides a true hybrid solution which automatically blends grid power or generator power with the core solar power supply to ensure constant power to the motor or pumping system all the time. Thus working similarly to a grid-tie inverter but with no feedback into the grid.

When grid supply falls away during daytime hours, the system will run only on solar power and when overcast or poor sunny conditions occur the system will automatically blend with alternative sources available. This can also be combined with irradiation control which can be syncronised with generator auto start to ensure you have constant supply to deliver your irrigation goals 24/7.

Solar assist also can be applied when limited solar(PV) array is available and would supplement energy usage and as the solar array is expanded it automatically reduces electricity costs.
